Andes y Después
Mountains as Altars
A tribute to the timelessness, the magnitude and the feeling of reverence that arises / interpellates from being in front of mountains. The project comprises a diverse exploration of mediums: photographs, screen-prints, collage and a self-published book . The process reflects the agency of memory which interplays with the material recollection of the landscape in order to recreate and create new images.

Serendipity
Or how to play with light and chance
Pinhole photography and chance intertwine as a method to discover the world and question reality. For its primitive mechanics, non-electronic system and long exposure requirements, this technique is also an act of rebellion in times of immediacy and hyper-resolution of digital images. These somewhat abstract images are closer to painting and represent a way of "drawing with light" where the eye of the viewer plays an essential role in interpreting what is being seen.

Skeletal Photograms
Intricate Structures
A process of experimentation with expired photosensitive paper, botanical elements and ubiquitous plastic exploring organic and non-organic layered objects.

Chasing Shadows
Of a landscape
Pictures of phantasmagorical and nostalgic landscapes representing the mourning of leaving a place where I felt I belonged. This project is the archive of my last trips during my stay in Catalonia before returning to my home country, after two years of living abroad. It is a kind of journal of a farewell of a landscape that was not my birthplace, nor my home, but felt deeply mine. The grain and movement of black and white infrared film enhanced the feelings of a blurry, phantasmagorical and nostalgic memory, like a ghost.

Washed Away
Traces of Tide
A documentation of forms that have been shaped by the water rolling back and forth, continuously covered and uncovered by the sand and the sea. It reflects on the tide as a representation of the power to change things drastically, infinitely.

Portraits
Of the Southern Globe
This is a project of people's daily living. A framing of their jobs, their routines and the socio-economic context that shapes them, with the quest of finding a reflection of these elements in their gaze and gestures. Gaze, gestures, are windows that allow a fractal glimpse of their personality. Portraits of people who, in spite of our short encounters, generated an impact and admiration of a kind for the dignity they transmit.

Winter is Lonely
Walking down a hill
A short photo essay about what winter can unfold. For me, it deals with a sense of "bright loneliness". This essay also reflects on how photography has an agency in memory and in the obsession of placing images, sometimes only to show patterns of repetition, endless mirrors of themselves.

Taitas and Mamas
Of the Ecuadorian Andes
Portraits of emblematic mountains of my home country. Most of them are active volcanoes that run through Ecuador. The name Taitas and Mamas refers to mountains as deities or entities endowed with temperament as they are locally called : "taitas" for father and "mamas" for mothers, both archetypes of power and majesty. The project intends to demonstrate the mystical beauty that has captivated naturalists hundreds of years ago and still do today.
