About Me

Photography has interested me from a very early age. It is a way to discover and document the world around me, always with the intention of questioning the subjectivity of the human perspective and its effect in the construction of reality. I began my journey with black and white 35mm photographic film and paper, and became passionate about experimental chemical photography, printing techniques, and the intersections between them. Both, due to its aesthetics and plasticity, have been the medium to explore visual creative possibilities. In doing so, randomness becomes the method that runs through my work, as a way to encounter serendipity. My creative interests center on my spiritual relationship with Nature and on how art can broaden my understanding of it. Plants and mountain landscapes are my recurring themes of interest. Both represent the mystical, the sublime, and the infinite. Another recurring line of research are the links between landscape and the construction of one’s identity.  I reflect on how the agency of memory interplays with the archive recreating and creating new images which constantly changes the very memory, and therefore, the relationship of the being with the landscape.
