Intricate structures
This ongoing project is about the exploration of intricate structures in organic and non-organic objects placed on top of expired photosensitive paper and exposed to the sun (photograms). It started during the COVID-19 pandemic confinement as a spontaneous process of composition and experimentation with items available at my house. Initially with fresh or previously dried and saved botanical elements, then, while exploring their shapes and textures in x-rays-like images that show how they sustain, like skeletons, life forms, I found a dialogue with ubiquitous plastic. The later, although dead and flat has acquired a structural and sustaining role in modern life.
